Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Choocer collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the customer ordering app for workplace dining.
Information we collect
Choocer collects information you provide when using the service, including your mobile phone number, recipient name, cart selections, order details, delivery or pickup location, special instructions, and support communications.
We may also collect limited technical information such as device, browser, session, payment status, and usage data. Payment card details are handled by payment providers and are not stored directly by Choocer.
How we use information
We use personal information to authenticate customers, send verification codes, process carts and orders, coordinate merchants and delivery locations, provide customer support, prevent fraud, maintain security, and improve Choocer.
When you consent, we use your mobile number to send SMS order updates such as confirmations, payment status, preparation progress, pickup, delivery, cancellation, or other service notices related to your order.
How we share information
We share information with merchants, delivery or pickup coordinators, payment processors, SMS providers, hosting and analytics vendors, and other service providers that help operate Choocer.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate fraud or security issues, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets.
SMS order updates
By checking the SMS consent box during login, you agree that Choocer may use your mobile number to send order update text messages. Standard message and data rates may apply based on your cell plan.
Message frequency depends on your order activity. Where supported, you may follow opt-out instructions in the message or contact support. Opting out may limit our ability to send timely order updates.
Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide Choocer, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain business records, and improve service quality.
Your choices and contact
You may decline optional SMS order updates, but Choocer may still need to send messages that are necessary for login, security, or completing an order you requested. You may also request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information where applicable.
If you have privacy questions, contact us through the support channels made available in Choocer or GourmetCarte. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
